The schedules that actually run your life mostly arrive as pictures of paper. A term timetable handed out in September. A programme from a conference. A poster with course dates. A note you wrote yourself and photographed so you wouldn’t lose it. They live in your camera roll, and they stay there, because copying them into a calendar is twenty minutes of tapping that almost nobody does.

  4. Glare, angle, and handwriting. The mundane one. A photo taken at 40 degrees under a ceiling light will lose digits. Handwriting compounds it. This is fixable at capture time, which is the next section.
